The Heartopia Verdant Greenery quest is causing quite a bit of confusion among the playerbase. Fear not, as I have worked out the solution for your Heartopia troubles.

Heartopia Verdant Greenery
Considering the task is to place any basic plant decoration, the quest is pretty confusing and doesn’t make it obvious. It confused me too, so I get how you feel. Then again, I’m notoriously bad at tunnel visioning in games and forgetting instructions…
Oh, and don’t forget that this quest is only available for D.G. Members of level 9 and above, so if you’re below this, then it’s time to start doing your daily requests.
So, Which Basic Plant Do You Need?
The solution is to use a very specific type of plant in your house. This means no fancy pancy plants potted in perfectly painted ceramic. Without a cutesy succulent in sight, you need to plant a bush or tree.
These plants, or rather their Blueprint counterparts, can be purchased from Bob at the Furniture Store. When entering the store, interact with Bob to find the Special Home Decor Store option. From here, you can browse a variety of Blueprints and Building Materials, some of which cost Gold, whereas others cost Wishing Stars.
How to Place Any Basic Plant Decoration
What players are struggling with is where to find these basic plants in their inventory. I spent ages looking through each tab trying to find the plant, to no avail.
So, I did what anyone would do in this situation, and I started to explore the other building options until I accidentally stumbled across it – eureka! Unlike the normal plants that are more for indoor decorative purposes, the Basic Plant Decorations are found in the Build Mode.
After entering Build Mode, select the Building Material option – this is the second circle to the left, which is yellow and has an icon that looks like a brick wall. You know, cause it’s the mode for building, and buildings need walls… You get the point.
Look for the tab all the way at the end of the bar, which says ‘Other’ – this tab has an icon of four different shapes. The Other tab includes all of the plants you can place on your home plot, including the Basic Plant Decoration for the Verdant Greenery quest.
Simply choose which plant you want to place, work out where you want to put it, and ta da! The quest is complete, and you can now claim your reward. This reward appears in your mailbox from the D.G Member’s Guild, who thank you for supporting the Environmental Protection Plan.
