The Heartopia Black Truffle is an easy-to-find ingredient once you know its location! Enjoying the Cooking Hobby in Heartopia? Check out our Heartopia Recipes guide, which lists all the dishes I’ve found so far.

Heartopia Black Truffle

Some mushrooms have a Bizarre variant – like me. The Black Truffle is the only mushroom in Heartopia which doesn’t, no clue why, but there we go.

Black Truffle Location

To find Black Truffles, you need to head to a specific area on the map, which is Forest Island, aaaall the way to the right of the map. They appear as mounds of dirt on the ground, and suspiciously just look like a bit of mud. For these dirt piles, you’re more likely to spot them around bushes, trees, and logs. Foraging from these mounds grants you around 3 to 4 Black Truffles.

There are usually around 8 spots every day where you can collect Black Truffles; however, only 4 of them spawn at a time. Each time you collect all current Black Truffles, the next lot respawns in the usual spots, so you’ll have to go searching for it!

But keep in mind that it respawns after the cooldown, which lasts around 15 minutes.

Why Are Black Truffles Important?

When used in cooking recipes, Black Truffles can increase the overall selling value. Many players are opting to cook with Black Truffles to earn more Gold.

Selling Black Truffles by themselves grants you 99 Gold, which is decent for a single ingredient. But, I do recommend saving them for any cooking recipes you’ve unlocked.

Of course, you need to have the recipes that require Black Truffles to begin with. New recipes can be unlocked by increasing your Cooking Hobby level and by completing quests.

Other Mushrooms

Aside from Black Truffles, there are lots of other mushrooms to harvest, which you can then use in your cooking recipes. There’s an abundance of Mushroom Pies to cook! While they replenish your Energy, you can also sell them for a decent amount of Gold.
