Sho and I recently had the honour to fly to the Big Apple on behalf of Gamezebo, as Gamezebo attends the Love and Deepspace 2 Year Anniversary Event in New York! Whether you couldn’t make it there yourself, or you simply want to know more about what happened, I’m here to talk you through everything we saw. We also have a vlog of the event, which you can watch below:

An Anniversary to Remember

Love and Deepspace is officially 2 years old, and what a way to celebrate! If you didn’t know, it has over 80 million downloads, which is a huge milestone in itself. The game has completely changed the otome genre, and Adele (who also happens to be a huge fan) has a piece explaining why she thinks Love and Deepspace Sets the New Standard for Otome Games.

The event happened in the centre of New York. When we arrived, fans were already lining up outside in the cold, and this was two hours before it even opened!

To take people’s minds off the freezing weather, giant chibis resembling each of the love interests headed outside to greet the fans. They were the cutest things ever and were the perfect way to get people excited for everything that was to happen inside.

Fluttering Touch Zone

The first area inside the event was the fluttering touch zone. There were life-size cutouts of all the LADs, and you could place your hand on their bodies to remove their clothes thanks to thermal touch. Don’t worry, it’s fully PG, as it only removes their shirt. Love and Deepspace is a personal game, and this area was the perfect way to closely interact with your favourite on a more, erm, intimate level.

It was freezing on both days of the event, and it even snowed on day two, so most of the time this didn’t work for me, as my hands weren’t warm enough. Still, you know what they say, right? Cold hands, warm heart.

Event Merch!

Image shows an area you can purchase merch inside an event.

An event is only an event with merch, right? Once you left the fluttering touch zone, you could line up for merch… and there were tons to choose from! You were spoilt for choice, as you had the option of photocards to badges and even art boards.

The thing I loved most about the merch was that it was separated into series from the game, adding another intricate layer of detail into the designs. For example, the Lingering Gaze Series featured Zayne, Rafayel, and Xavier.  All of the art was beautiful, and one of the badges I got was sparkly!

Made With Love

After spending cash on exclusive merch, you could visit areas for each LAD. There were life-size standees and a large bouquet of flowers inspired by each character. There were also snippets from some of the memories of each love interest stuck in the designated area using large posters. It made for the perfect photo opportunity.

The amount of detail, time, and love put into the displays truly took my breath away. Even the details of the flowers resembled the characters! The cutouts also featured unique moments of the game, such as Rafayel in his mermaid outfit. Or should I say… merman.

In this area, there was also the chance to take a photo while holding props and plushies! The background featured all five husbandos, and you could scan the barcode to keep the picture forever. There was also a large screen playing snippets from the game, including certain memories and moments with each LAD.

Light Show Zone

The final area of the event was the light show zone. Here, you could step into a large room and watch a trailer showcasing the game. You were completely surrounded, as the video was projected on every wall! It was amazing to share the moment with other fans of Love and Deepspace and be immersed in the video.

This event was truly one to remember, and it was an amazing opportunity to be able to see it for myself. I was in awe of how much detail and attention were put into setting up each area, especially being a big fan of the franchise. From the colour scheme all the way to the outfits, the staff thought of everything. Even the cups had Love and Deepspace written on them!

We also had the opportunity to speak to the public while they were waiting in line. There’s nothing better than talking to people who share your interests, right? I found that this event truly brought people together!

I would like to give a huge thanks to the Infold team for inviting Sho and me. It was an unforgettable event! If you don’t already, make sure to visit the Love and Deepspace Website and start playing now. I also met up with the Infold team at the Tokyo Game Show in 2025. You can read my Gamezebo Speaks to Infold Games at the Tokyo Game Show feature to find out what I got up to.
