How to Earn Candy
Codes
First, visit the Goblin Merchant, and scroll to the bottom of his shop and redeem the code: OCTOBER to get 25 free Candy. It’s not a lot, but it’s a good start. This code will expire once the Halloween Event concludes on November 2nd.
Haunted Harvest
The primary way to earn Candy is by repeatedly challenging the Pumpkin King in his domain and coming out alive with a bounty of Candy as your treasure. I highly recommend running solos to speed up the grind, as if you’re well-equipped, you can easily complete one run in around 2-4 minutes.
Start with the easy map so that you’re not overwhelmed. Each run will net around 30-40 Candy, which I suggest investing in some of the event armour to quickly upgrade. After this, when you’re better-equipped and around level 25, take on the medium difficulty to get around 100 Candy per run. I find this one to be the sweet spot, where you get lots of Candy quickly, without a huge difficulty spike.
As for how each run goes, the areas you find are randomised, but I do have some tips on what to look out for:
- Elite Mobs
- Elite mobs have the red icon next to their path; choosing these, especially if you’re going up against the Scarecrows, will net you additional Candy per run.
- Mini Boss
- Mort, the Gravedigger, always drops the second-highest amount of Candy of any mob. If you’re strong enough, always choose his path.
- The Old Barn
- Easy fight, but you get additional Gold and Materials for passing through here, which is useful for upgrades.
Alternatively, if you’re struggling with the Candy grind, you can always visit the Auction House and buy Halloween collectables off other players using Gold. However, this comes with its own expense…
Does Halloween-exclusive Gear Transfer Save?
Candy will remain between saves, but items will be destroyed unless you place them in the Inn before losing your final life. I suggest having backup gear that you don’t find as valuable to swap to if you’re on your final life. This goes for all saves, even outside of the Halloween Event. All items stored in the Inn are saved, and anything worn is lost. Also, the Dullahan Race transfers between saves.
What You Should Prioritise
I first suggest choosing an armour set that best suits your build and class. For example, the Witch best fits Mages, and the Skeleton best fits Thieves, etc. (However, this isn’t strict, so feel free to choose whatever!). After you’re kitted out, the Haunted Harvest becomes easier and faster to grind, so now you can earn Candy quicker to unlock more limiteds, such as the Dullahan Race, Eggs, or other Armour sets.
