If you played and liked Thank Goodness You’re Here, the 2024 Yorkshire-toned slapformer, there’s an Aussie equivalent coming soon. While the genres vary significantly, My Arms Are Longer Now brings the same gross-out comedy. The Aussie version, of course.
A 2D stealth-comedy game, My Arms Are Longer Now mixes environmental puzzles and physics-based mechanics with Australian internet humour. Developer Toot Games and publisher Jackbox Games announced the game with a trailer. Watch it here!
By the way, Toot Games is led by Matthew Jackson and Millie Holten. Jackson previously worked as a game designer on Need for Speed: No Limits. Meanwhile, Holten is the creator of the popular Long Head web comedy animated series.
My Arms Are Longer Now is incredibly stupid, and that’s what we like about it!
You play as a gross, long-armed thief whose arm works like a snake-vacuum hybrid. You stretch your disgusting noodle arm to steal stuff, slap people around, sneak past security systems, and trip guards.
One minute, you’re stealing bicycles, and the next minute, you’re ruining children’s birthday parties for money. You can steal basically anything not bolted down, leading to unimaginable riches of at least 60 bucks. You’ll find multiple Melbourne locations in the game, including the Upfield train line.
My Arms Are Longer Now is launching later this year on PC via Steam and Epic. You can wishlist it now. Console versions are coming in early 2027, including PlayStation.
If you wishlist My Arms Are Longer Now, and the total number of Steam wishlists crosses 15,000, the devs will add a new cosmetic. They even gave players a choice for it through a feed poll. And apparently, people chose Foot Mode.
So, the cosmetic is a foot that will replace the hand that you control in the game. You’ll be pinching money out of pockets with your toes. Basically, you’ll have to live with the knowledge that Your Legs Are Longer Now.
