Our Dig It Shovels Tier List ranks every obtainable shovel from best to worst depending on their stats and passives. I’ve also made sure to add the level requirements for each one!

Which of the Dig It shovels do you have? I’ve written up a guide that goes into more detail about each of the Dig It Shovels, including how to obtain them, their stats, and if they have any passive abilities.

Dig It Shovels Tier List

I’ve ranked every obtainable shovel in Dig It!

S Tier

• Ioniser Shovel (level 50+)
  • Very strong stats, including a 40% luck boost, with a passive ability that increases your chances of obtaining Modified items by 30%, which sell for more coins
  • At Permafrost, some of the stats get a 15-19% buff
• Seer Shovel (level 30+)
  • You have a higher chance of obtaining the Colossal Worm when using this shovel in the Badlands (your stats are buffed when digging here too!)
  • The base stats are strong enough, but the additional boost makes it even better
• Emperor’s Shovel (level 40+)
  • Some of the highest stats in the game
  • You have a 25% chance of obtaining items with the Golden Modifier, which sells for much more
• Evil Shovel (obtainable during the daily rewards for the Lunar New Year event)
  • All items have a 50% chance of having the Evil mutation, which sells for more
• Megalodon Shovel (level 100+)
  • You can collect island-exclusive items no matter where you are
  • All items you obtain have the Hydrated Mutation

A Tier

• Lunar Shovel (level 37+)
  • Strong stats, though the Stamina Lost is a little high, and you can only get this shovel during a Lunar Clouds event, which makes it harder to get
  • At Permafrost, some stats get a 7% buff
• Blowtorch Shovel (level 40+)
  • Fairly balanced stats that are great for mid-game and late-game digging
  • At Permafrost, some of the stats get a 17-24% buff
• Frosted Shovel (level 37+)
  • Its stats are pretty similar to the Blowtorch Shovel, though with a higher Stability and Precision
  • At Permafrost, some of the stats get a 14-24% buff
• Magnet Shovel (level 23+)
  • This shovel is used to obtain Loot Items, which can be opened to obtain additional objects to collect and sell
  • The stats are fairly average, but the chance of getting bonus items from the Loot makes it worth it
• Glass Shovel (level 26+)
  • Strong luck and easy to use with high stability, control, precision, and strength
• Festive Shovel (obtainable during the Festive event)
  • This shovel has pretty good stats considering it’s free
  • You have a 30% chance of getting Festive items even when the Festive event has ended
• Fortune Shovel (obtainable during the Lunar New Year event)
  • You get a luck boost for a short duration after digging up 5 items
• Dynamite Shovel (level 40+)
  • Has a chance to explode during the minigame, which increases your progress, shortening the duration
• Solar Shovel (level 80+)
  • You have a chance of activating a Solar Strike
  • You have a 30% chance of getting an item with the Holy or Solar mutations, which sell for more
• Ancient Shovel (level 120+)
  • The items you collect are more likely to have the Hot, Rusty, and Evil mutations
• Thunder God Shovel (140+)
  • The progress bar of the minigame speeds up thanks to the passive lightning strikes
  • This shovel has fairly balanced stats!

B Tier

• Biodegradable Shovel (free when you Like the game’s page and join the Roblox group)
  • Early-game stats are better than the Basic Shovel, but your stability is reduced by 5%
  • This rod is only in B-tier due to the  passive ability that increases your chances of obtaining Biodegradable mutated items by 15%
• Pirate Shovel (level 12+)
  • A strong rod with balanced stats
• Superior Shovel (level 7+)
  • Balanced stats for an early-game rod
• Industrial Shovel (level 15+)
  • High stability, precision, and strength, as well as 30% luck
• Pirate Shovel (level 20+)
  • Stats that range from 25-35% with a mid-range Stamina Lost stat
• Snow Shovel (level 34+)
  • Decent stats which improve when using it at Permafrost, increasing the shovel’s control, stability, and precision by 14%
• Venom Shovel (level 40+)
  • Has a 40% chance of applying the Venom mutation to items, which sell for more
• Flood Shovel
  
  • Due to the obtainment method, this shovel is great for new players, but the stats aren’t amazing. The passive ability saves it with a chance of applying the Hydrated Mutation to an item, which means it sells for more!
• Heart Shovel
  • Like the Flood Shovel, the stats aren’t great, but they cap out at around 50%, so it’s a least a little useful
• Meteor Shovel
  • With a low luck stat of 40%, the redeeming factor about this shovel is that you have a 75% chance of collecting Hot items and a 25% chance of Magma items
• Imp Shovel
  • Decent stats but comes with no extra buffs, though the Luck stat is set at 30%, which is pretty low
• Magma Shovel
  • A good option for mid-game
• Poseidon’s Shovel (level 45+)
  • Has a max weight of 30kg, with majority of stats averaging 35% and 40%
• Philosopher’s Shovel (level 20+)
  • All stats sit at 30%

C Tier

• Rookie Shovel (any level)
  • An improvement from the Basic Shovel, but still pretty weak
• Trusty Shovel (level 3+)
  • A buffed version of the Rookie Shovel, making it the next step up
• Toy Shovel (level 5+)
  • Decent luck, strength, and control, but has -10% stability
• Fossil Shovel (level 16+)
  • A weaker version of the Industrial Shovel

D Tier

• Basic Shovel (starter shovel)
  • The luck stat is -200, making this a useless shovel
  • Control, stability, and precision are 0%
