Happy fish-o-ween! Fischfright is back and bigger than ever, with even more outrageous rods than previous years. Take, for example, the Fischfright 3 Doomsekkar, which has made a name for itself for its strange abilities and wildly debuffed Resilience.

Let’s get into it.

Fischfright 3 Doomsekkar

To get the Doomsekkar Rod, head to the Fischfright village and speak with the Doomsekkar NPC, located across the bridge near the village houses. He will immediately set you off on a quest to complete the following:

• Catch 100 fish from the Frightful Pools.
• Perfect catch 50 fish in a row from the Frightful Pools.
  • For this, there’s no easy way around it, but I recommend using Garbage Bait and Plaguereaver (or another rod that you have) to make the process easier.
• Catch ghosts from Haunted Houses.
  • Locate a house where the door numbers are glowing green (this means the house is haunted). Equip your candy bucket and trick-or-treat at the residents. When the Ghost appears, hold your cursor over the ghost, following its movements to catch it.

After unlocking the Doomsekkar for the first time, you’ll unlock its limited Journal entry and be awarded 5,000 EXP.

Doomsekkar Stats

• Lure Speed: 100%
• Luck: 275%
• Control: 0.1 (+10%, covering 40% of the width of the bar)
• Resilience: -666%
• Max KG: Infinite weight capacity
• Line Distance: 100M

This high-tier Halloween rod boasts incredible Lure, Luck, and Speed, with average Control. However, to address the doom-shaped Resilience in the room, this ungodly debuff is a little exaggerated, as the Doomsekkar Abilities massively balance out the Resilience. More on that below.

Doomsekkar Abilities

Mutations

• 10% chance for caught fish to have the Doomsekkar Mutation (8x value increase). Each detonated bomb from the catch minigame increases this mutation chance by +8%.

Unique Effects

• After every 6th bomb detonation, each detonation grants 10 seconds of the Doomsekkar status effect to the user and every player within 50 studs.

Progress Bar Boosts

• Gain +8% progress per detonated bomb. This passive is nerfed to +2.8% progress against Progress Locked Fish.

Special Mechanics – Pumpkin Bombs

• Every 0.8 seconds during the fishing minigame, the rod plants a pumpkin bomb on the reel bar away from the fish, with up to 6 active bombs at a time.
  • If the fish lands on it: The bomb will detonate.
  • If the fish avoids it: Bombs will fade away after 45 seconds if not encountered.
• After 6 detonations, the rod performs a slash, granting an immediate +50% Progress.
  • +17.5% Progress against Progress Locked Fish
  • Grants 50 seconds of the Doomsekkar Status Effect after the Progress Slash.

Doomsekkar Status Effect

This buff begins with a 50-second timer and gains +10 seconds each time it’s triggered (unless it runs out, which resets the timer entirely).

• 1.15x Slash Strength
• 1.2x Lure Speed
• 1.1x Movement Speed
• +10% chance for the Doomsekkar Mutation (8x value)
