Is this the only Clover Time Grimoire Tier List you need? I hope so. I’ve tried and tested the Grimoires, comparing their damage, skills, and builds, and considering player consensus to bring you the most researched and unbiased rankings, including a small insight into their performance.

Clover Time Grimoire Tier List

S-TIER

The best Grimoires to roll. These fit what most players are looking for when choosing their primary combat, offering powerful skills that deal serious damage and cover PvP and PvE.

• Anti-Magic Grimoire
  • The strongest Grimoire in the game, but coincidentally one that rejects the art of magic. Anti-Magic has incredibly powerful skills that cover the user in PvP and PvE, making it a threat no matter the enemy and their skills.
• Battle Lightning Grimoire
  • Discharges powerful lightning strikes on enemies, shocking their health bar. This Grimoire is incredible for magic-based builds, with solid PvP and PvE versatility.

A-TIER

Ideal secondary Grimoire options. These aren’t the most popular or favoured choices to wield, but that gives them an advantage since they’re less understood. Overall powerful and good to invest in.

• Poison Grimoire
  • Focuses more on projectiles that snipe and deal Poison DoT to targets. Great for evasive players who want to keep their distance whilst still consistently attacking.
• Chain Grimoire
  • A powerful rare Grimoire that traps enemies into barrage attacks, giving them no escape. Operates best at close range, but pays off with high-damage attacks.

B-TIER

These Grimoires work best for beginners, especially if they luck out and roll one of these as their free first Grimoire. Pretty basic in how they fight, but occupy a nice niche.

• Explosive Flame Grimoire
  • An epic Grimoire that promises much more than the Flame Grimoire. Executes enemies with powerful explosions, covering PvP and PvE-based fights. Pretty good overall, but lacking substance that would raise it a tier.
• Ice Grimoire
  • Offers long-range, AoE, and PvP-based skills, making the Ice Grimoire a pretty strong uncommon to roll as your first Grimoire. Damage-wise, it’s pretty average, but generally scales with Power, so it can be improved over time.
• Water Grimoire
  • Ideally, the best common Grimoire to roll. Has a great and fast skill set covering PvP and PvE, making it versatile and fairly strong, letting it chip away at enemies faster than they can block.

C-TIER

Pretty weak and underdeveloped. These Grimoires aren’t worth using past the early-game questlines.

• Snow Grimoire
  • The Snow Grimoire is fine as a first roll, with a decent enough variety of skills between PvP and PvE. Its mastery skills also focus on barrages, dealing additional DoT compared to other common Grimoires.

D-TIER

The weakest Grimoires. I recommend rerolling these as soon as you can. Their skills are pretty linear, and damage is severely lacking.

• Fire Grimoire
  • This Grimoire acts as a lesser Explosive Flame, relying on burn tick damage to whittle down enemies; however, its base damage and skills aren’t that impressive without investing heavily into strength stats.
• Earth Grimoire
  • The Earth Grimoire sounds stronger than it is, unearthing the ground to pummel enemies with thick and heavy boulders. However, in execution, it doesn’t have many skills in its mastery arsenal, and those it does aren’t that powerful compared to other spell books.
