By unlocking a Rintama High Fighting Style, you’ll be much more powerful in combat, increasing your chances of winning a fight. With only two Fighting Styles in Rintama High currently, it’s either one or the other, which makes it easier in a way.

It’s no secret that Rintama High is similar to another game called Gakuran. We’ve covered quite a few topics for that game, including the Gakuran Face Rerolls guide, written by Sho.

Which Rintama High Fighting Styles Should You Choose?

There are two Fighting Styles to choose from in Rintama High right now, which narrows the decision down a little. Before you waste your Yen, it’s best to decide which one will work best for your play style, especially when it comes to combat.

Choosing a Fighting Style

A lot of it comes down to how much Yen you have. If you’re in a rush to get a Fighting Style to help you in combat, then go for Beast, which costs 1.5K less Yen. A bit of a bargain if I do say so myself. Personally, I recommend going for Beast first, and then saving up for Rush.

Beast gets you used to combat quicker, especially if you spend some time practising before stepping into a fight. Once the combat controls are second nature, then you should invest in the Rush Fighting Style. By this point, you’ll probably have plenty of Yen.

The two Fighting Styles to choose from are Beast and Rush. Beast costs 2.5K Yen, and Rush costs 4K Yen, so it really depends on how much spare Yen you have at the moment, unless you’d prefer to save up for the more expensive option.

All players in Rintama High start with base combat moves, which are available no matter which Fighting Style you obtain, and whether or not you’ve even unlocked one yet. Basically, anyone can take part in combat in Rintama High, though I recommend getting a Fighting Style as soon as possible; otherwise, other players will be constantly defeating you due to your lack of power.

How to Unlock Fighting Styles

No matter which Fighting Style you want, the process is the same. You need to visit Shofukucho District, which you can get to by leaving campus and heading across the footbridge towards the Horiguchi Area. Once you’re in the Shofukucho District, look for the Kamasaki Yuri NPC. When speaking with her, you can select the option, “I’d like to change my fighting style”.

You are then told about the no-refund rule, which means you won’t get the Yen you spend on either Fighting Style back once you’ve made the purchase. Next, you can pick whether you want to unlock the Beast or Rush Fighting Style. As mentioned, Beast is the cheapest, costing 2.5K Yen, and Rush is the most expensive at 4K Yen.

How to Get Yen

The easiest way to get Yen is by redeeming any active codes; however, this isn’t always possible. Some codes don’t grant Yen, and there might not be any active codes at this time.

Active Codes That Grant Yen
  • DOWNTAMA
    • 2.5K Yen [+ 10x Reroll Tokens]
  • STYLEJOBMONEYFIXES
    • 6K Yen [+ 2x Reroll Tokens]
  • bumdev
    • 2K Yen [+ 5x Reroll Tokens]
Jobs

Another way to obtain Yen is by getting a job in Rintama High. Some NPCs offer shifts, so make sure to interact with any you find as you explore. When you complete a job, you get Yen.
