The Grow a Chicken Fighter Fusions feature can take a while to get your head around; at least it did for me. Fusing chickens helps to organise your inventory, yes, but it serves a much more important purpose in Grow a Chicken Fighter.

Don’t fuse any old chicken; make sure you’re fusing the strongest chickens with those that wield the best abilities. Sho’s Grow a Chicken Fighter Tier List, which ranks both chickens and specials [skills] from best to worst.

Grow a Chicken Fighter Fusions

To begin, I’ll discuss the Fusion system in its most basic form. You have Chicken A and Chicken B; fuse them to create a new Chicken. It’s simple in theory, but it gets a little more complicated when it comes to mutations and stats.

The Basics

Each player has 2 Fusion Locks for free. You can only get more Fusion Locks by purchasing the Gamepass. Without the Fusion Lock, the fused chicken’s trait will be random, overwriting those of Chicken A and Chicken B.

The traits include the Chicken’s colour, hat, mask, levels, ability, and the potential egg type. Levels don’t matter as much because Rebirthing resets your chickens’ levels anyway. Your priority should be abilities, as you can choose which you prefer.

After fusing, you’ll notice that the stats look different. That’s because the highest stats between the two chickens are carried over to the fused chicken. Usually, the rarity of the chickens does not determine which stats are used. It’s always the chicken with the higher base stats, even if it’s of a lower rarity.

Best Fusions

Reaper Rooster + Voodoo

The Voodoo ability is exclusive to the Doll Hen, and with the Reaper Rooster being one of the best chickens in the game, it’s a no-brainer to fuse them. Make sure to use a Fusion Lock on the Doll Hen’s Voodoo ability before fusing, though.

The Reaper Rooster and Doll Hen have a chance to hatch from Haunt Eggs, which are guaranteed from Zombie Chicks. To start, obtain the Slugger Hen from Scratch Eggs, as this chicken has a 75% chance to drop Arena Eggs.

Arena Eggs drop Creepy Clowns, providing a 75% chance of Haunt Eggs. Keep hatching Haunt Eggs until you get Zombie Chicks for the 100% chance. Continue hatching Haunt Eggs until you get both a Doll Hen and a Reaper Rooster before fusing them. Don’t forget the Fusion Lock for Doll Hen.

404 Chick + Cycle of Ash

The 404 Chick is another great option, made even better with the powerful Cycle of Ash ability, which is exclusive to the Radiant Fenghuang.

First, let’s start with how to get the 404 Chick. You’re going to need Cursed Eggs, as 404 Chicks have a chance to hatch from them. The NPC Chick from Scratch Eggs has an 80% chance to drop Cursed Eggs. You can get the Stone Face chicken from Cursed Eggs, which then guarantees Cursed Egg drops. Keep collecting Cursed Eggs until the 404 Chick hatches.

Now, to get the Radiant Fenghuang, you’ll have to obtain the Crest Rooster from Scratch Eggs for a 60% chance of getting Royal Eggs. With Royal Eggs, you can get the Rooster of Fortune, which increases the chance of Royal Eggs to 100%. Hatch Royal Eggs until the Radiant Fenghuang drops.

Before fusing 404 Chick and Radiant Fenghuang, use a Fusion Lock on Fenghuang’s Cycle of Ash ability. Once fused, you’ve got a 404 Chick with one of the best skills in the game.

Mutations

You can get mutated chickens via fusion. As an example, I’ll use the Inverted mutation.

To do this, you need to fuse a regular chicken with an Inverted chicken for a chance of getting a chicken with the Inverted mutation. If the tier of both chickens is the same, the mutation chance increases to 50%. To guarantee the mutation, you can fuse an Inverted chicken with another.
