Capcom has just dropped some anniversary artwork for Dragon’s Dogma 2, and the community is going a bit crazy. Well, not the kind you’d expect. Zooming into the artwork, a lot of players think Capcom might be teasing a new expansion.
The image is part of the title’s second anniversary celebration. Capcom shared it via their official X (formerly Twitter) account. Before I give you all the details, you be the judge! Take a look at the post (the image) that they shared and see what clues you can find.
A few details in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 anniversary artwork look way too specific to be random!
The first thing people noticed was a letter sitting on a table in the artwork. Players quickly figured out that the text is written using the official alphabet of Gransys, which is the region from the first game. When translated, the message says Sightings of Griffins Flying in From the Northern Region of Organ Have Been Confirmed.
That immediately got people talking because the main game mentions a northern region multiple times in notes and lore, but players never actually get to go there in Dragon’s Dogma 2. So now a lot of people think this is Capcom hinting at a new area that could show up in an expansion.
A second point is a character standing with their back turned, surrounded by all of the Maisters of each vocation in the game. The character has a hairstyle and outfit that aren’t in the main game at all. Some players think this could be teasing a new vocation that might come with a DLC expansion.
