I recently had the absolute pleasure of speaking to the Eldelic Games team about their new release, Inky Blinky Bob. This horror-comedy releases its demo on the 20th of February, 2026, making this the perfect time to chat with the developers! You can find out more about them on the official Eldelic Games website.

Eldelic Games Interview

Can you tell us a little bit more about the team and who you all are?

Eldelic Games is a small but incredibly driven team that thrives on creativity and a bit of chaos. It all started with Myro (Founder) and Lee (Co-founder), who wanted to build something that stands out from the crowd. We’re a tight-knit group, 3 developers, 3 designers, and one ‘Top G’ pushing energy that keeps everything moving. We might be a small studio, but we’ve got a massive vision, and we’re proving that a dedicated team can create something truly surprising.

On another personal note, aside from Inky Blinky Bob, what is your favourite game to play and why?

Picking a single favorite game is impossible because gaming is all about the moment and the feeling. We could easily give you a list of 50 legendary titles that would hit you with so much nostalgia you’d turn into a sad emo boy overnight. For us, it’s not about the ‘best’ game, it’s about the experience and the memories they leave behind.

What was your inspiration for Inky Blinky Bob? For example, were you inspired by other games or other types of media? If so, which ones?

We really admired how Choo Choo Charles managed to build such a massive, dedicated community. For Inky Blinky Bob, we wanted to take that kind of spark and push it further, deepening the lore, creating more memorable interactions, and offering
something players haven’t seen a thousand times before. If you’ve ever dreamed of an action-adventure indie horror with dark humor and an open world, Inky Blinky Bob is exactly what you’ve been looking for.

What’s your process for coming up with ideas? Inky Blinky Bob is very unique, and aside from taking inspiration from other places (if you do), how else do you come up with ideas? Do they simply come naturally to you?

Aside from the occasional creative burst while sitting on ‘The Throne’ (we’ve all been there), our brainstorming is all about trying to break the mold. Developing a game is a long journey, so we make sure the whole team is having a laugh and enjoying the process. Our ideas come naturally from years of playing games and constantly asking, ‘What would be actually fun to make?’

The background and settings in Inky Blinky Bob look beautiful. I’m a big fan of the colourful skies and the forest areas shown in the trailer. Are they based on real places?

They aren’t based on real locations, but we did use some pretty wild reference images. You’d need to be a GeoGuessr world champion to find the inspiration for these islands because we basically just slammed mountains into the ocean and built from there. The sky is something we’re particularly proud of, no one has a sky like ours, because frankly, it’s awesome. What was the question again? We got distracted by the clouds.

Horror-comedy is an interesting mix. As someone who doesn’t play much horror out of fear, the comedy aspects do take the edge off. Why did you decide to combine these two genres?

The game actually started as a pure horror project, but we quickly realized we just aren’t that serious of a group. Adding comedy makes the jumpscares hit differently and makes it much more ‘streamable’. The whole game is designed around having a great time, with jumpscares that depend on which quest you’re on. Each quest tells its own unique
story.

Do you have any future projects in the works? Can you tell us a bit about them?

Our first priority after the Steam launch is getting the game onto PlayStation and Xbox. We’re also keeping a very close eye on the Nintendo Switch 2, depending on how things go. Beyond that, we have several projects in the pipeline that we’re incredibly excited about. All we can say is: community, get ready. We’re casting a spell on everyone reading this to remember the name Eldelic Games. Job done.

If you weren’t making and developing games, what would you be doing?

To be completely honest? Jobless. Making games is what we were born to do.

Now a fun question! (Though hopefully the others have been fun). If you were a video game character, which one would you be and why?

John Cena! Because… tu tu ru tuu, tu tu ru tuuu!!!! ✋✋✋ You can’t see us!

I’d like to give a huge thank you to Elderlic Games for taking the time to speak to me and give their answers. You can find out more about this upcoming horror-comedy on the official Inky Blinky Bob Steam page.
