It’s no secret that Garden Horizons takes inspiration from Grow a Garden. But, just how comparable are they really? Most players hated the stealing tactic implemented in GaG, so in this article, I’ll answer whether you can steal crops in Garden Horizons.

Discover how to protect your produce, and any other helpful tips and tricks you may need for the fast-approaching release of this next instalment of gardening simulators on Roblox.

Let’s get into it.

Can You Steal Crops in Garden Horizons?

In short, no, you cannot steal crops in Garden Horizons. And may I be the first to say, thank god.

This feature was part of GaG as a way to humble those with extravagant crops. For a small Robux fee, you could pluck any one fruit from another player’s garden with little in the way of prevention.

Fortunately, Garden Horizons hasn’t implemented this, possibly due to a mix of player feedback and wanting to stand out from GaG as a separate entity entirely.

This means all of your crops are safe, so you need not be cautious when neighbouring players come and visit your garden to browse your progress and admire your work.

I (personally) think this is great for making the game feel more community-driven, and less of a grindy money-chasing meta game, which I believe to be what killed GaG.

The constant need to afk-farm and keep up with new crops, pets, and events made the game overwhelming, and it lost its initial values in the process. Garden Horizons, in my opinion, seems to be honouring what players want most and deep-rooting the game as a cosy and chill simulator with some in-game budgeting goals to reach. I can’t wait!

How To Project Your Plants

Others may not have the power to take your crops, but that doesn’t mean your plans to stack valuable mutations can’t be soiled. Puns aside, there’s always a risk of accidentally harvesting crops before you’re ready to, halting their growth entirely and completing their mutation build.

To prevent this, visit the Gear shop at the centre of the map and speak with Molly. She offers new Gear stock every few minutes and has the chance to sell you a Favourite Tool for 80k Shillings.

This item, when locked on a crop, prevents you from harvesting it until you’re ready, forcing you to undo the favourite lock before collecting it. Easy peasy!
