How To Fly in 99 Nights in the Forest

Flying in 99 Nights is a glitch that’ll likely soon be patched. For now, it relies on using pelts as flying carpets. To make it work, try the following:

• Collect a pelt. The wolf pelts work, but larger pelts, such as Polar Bears and bears, work better as they have more surface area.
• Keep a Cultist body. Make sure it’s one you can stand on and not phase through. Each corpse will have its own physics, so check before disposal!
• Put the Cultist and Pelt into your sack and drop them on the Crafting Bench saw. They won’t grind, but they’ll clip together, which allows you to step on the Cultist, whilst dragging the Pelt upwards as a steering wheel in the sky to fly.

When To Take Flight

Flying takes away the element of survivability from 99 Nights, as you can bypass the Deer, Owl, and mobs during nighttime, travelling across all four corners of the map freely without worry of the day cycle. So, I only really recommend flying if necessary to keep the game challenging and fun. For example, if a teammate dies far from camp, it’s quicker and less stamina-draining to fly and grab them, rather than wait and travel on the new day.

Or, you could simply fly to show off to your friends and show them a new trick you’ve learned from this guide. Either way, enjoy it whilst it lasts, as I imagine the flight glitch will get patched in a near update.
