The Grow a Garden Queen Bee isn’t just an NPC – it’s also a pet! By speaking with the Queen Bee, you can purchase the Hive Fruit with Honey during the Bizzy Bees event in Grow a Garden.

The Queen Bee is a Divine rarity pet that is only really useful during the Bizzy Bees event. You may have noticed the large Queen Bee that hovers around the event area, whom you must speak to when exchanging the Honey currency in the Honey Shop. But, it’s also a pet type, too!

How to Get the Queen Bee Pet

To obtain the Queen Bee pet for yourself, you need to collect Bee Eggs. To get Bee Eggs, you need to spend 18 Honey in the Honey Shop and wait 4 hours and 10 minutes for each one to hatch.

Now, the Bee Egg isn’t always available in the Honey Shop, much like all the other event items. It’s best to check the Honey Shop stock every hour to see if it spawns! Usually, only one Bee Egg is available to purchase at a time, although sometimes two may be on offer.

It’s important to mention that hatching a Bee Egg does not guarantee the Queen Bee. This pet is of the Divine rarity, and it has the lowest drop rate out of all the other Bee Egg pets. It has a 1% chance of appearing, making it highly unlikely that you’ll get one from the get-go.

What Does the Queen Bee Pet Do?

When active in your garden, the Queen Bee randomly chooses a crop to pollinate every 25 minutes – this applies the Pollinated mutation to the plant! Currently, during the Bizzy Bees event, pollination is crucial for accumulating Honey currency in the Honey Shop.

After the event, this pet can still apply this mutation to crops, increasing the selling value by 3x. A 3x boost to your crop value is great, but not overly impressive.

Another advantage of having a Queen Bee pet roaming around your garden is that it also refreshes the ability cooldown of a random pet every 30 minutes. This passive is handy, but I wouldn’t say it outshines some of the other pets that you can get.
