If you want to catch The Kraken, you need to fish during the Fisch Kraken Hunt. This guide explains what this event is, how to unlock the Kraken Pool, and how to catch an Ancient Kraken.

Fisch Kraken Hunt Guide

The Kraken is an exotic fish that you can find lurking in the waters of the Kraken Pool. However, unlocking this area can be tricky.

Catching The Kraken

Similar to Shark Hunt, you can only catch The Kraken when a Kraken Hunt is active. These only appear inside of a Kraken Pool. To unlock this, you need to complete the 4 trials found in Atlantis and activate their retrospective wheels. For more information on how to do this, check out the guides linked above!

Once you open the Kraken Pool, all you can do is wait until you get the server-wide notification letting you know a Kraken Hunt has begun. Like the Shark Hunts, only one person can catch The Kraken, so you’re up against all of the other players!

When hooked on your rod, there will be a -85% progress speed decrease, making this one of the hardest fish to catch.

This Exotic creature has a preference for Truffle Worm bait, so make sure to use that on your rod to increase your chances. It also has a preference for nighttime, but any weather and season.

How To Catch The Ancient Kraken

Catching an Ancient Kraken is even harder, and rarer! This is a secret fish, and the only way to get it is by using Poseidon’s Wrath Totem while a Kraken Hunt is active.

Like the regular Kraken, you’ll need to unlock the Kraken Pool and wait for the hunt to appear. You then need to use the totem. But this only gives a 0.5% chance for The Kraken to become an Ancient Kraken… which is almost impossible! You can purchase this totem for 1,500,000C$ inside of the Poseidon Temple. To unlock this area, you need to place 6 different sharks on pedestals.

The Ancient Kraken will inflict a -95% progress speed decrease on your rod, making it even harder to catch than the regular Kraken. As for preferences, it is the same as a normal Kraken.
