Anime Vanguards Fortune Catalyst

The Fortune Catalyst is an item that increases your chances of obtaining an Exclusive unit during a specific battle or game mode. At this current time, the Fortune Catalyst is accompanied by the ‘Slayer’ label, as the latest update brings Demon Slayer-inspired units to the game.

With this knowledge, I assume that Fortune Catalysts will stick around but will change to match the next batch of franchise characters.

Using the Catalyst to Get Renguko

As the Fortune Catalyst boosts your chances of obtaining the current Exlcusive rarity unit, that means you’re in with a shot of getting Renguko! I go into more detail in my Anime Vanguards Renguko guide, but to summarise, you have to farm Act 4 of the Spider Forest in hopes that he drops as a reward.

The drop rate for Renguko is 1% but with a Fortune Catalyst, that percentage increases to 2%. He’s still incredibly rare, but any luck boost is welcome!

How to Get a Fortune Catalyst

To acquire a Fortune Catalyst for yourself, simply head to the Raid Shop in (you guessed it) the Raid area. Renguko mans the store, so interact with him to open the window with purchasable items. From here, you can see that the Fortune Catalyst (Slayer) costs 400 Red Webs each.

Red Webs?

This is the raid-specific currency! Obtaining Red Webs is easy if you’re farming the raids already, so there’s a chance you have a stash of them in your inventory. If not, progress through each act of the Spider Forest! If you aren’t struggling with the latter acts, repeat the third and fourth to gain the most Red Webs!
