Restock is a game about finding places for a variety of different groceries and other items in your cupboards. It’s basically a stuff-putting puzzler, with a few twists here and there that try and keep you on your toes.

That’s one of the reasons we decided to write this here guide. It’s made up of a variety of strategies that we’ve discovered during our time playing Restock, and now we’re sharing them with you. You are most welcome.

It doesn’t matter if you’re struggling to find a place for the milk or you’ve already hung a good few towels, there’s going to be something here that’ll help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Restock.

Everything together

For the most part, especially in the grocery levels, you’re going to want to be putting items of the same kind together. There’s always one space that’s the perfect size for a set of items, so make sure you’re placing them all together and not mixing them together. In the non-fridge levels, this rule is a little less concrete – you’ll be putting the objects together, but in the same space as others.

Green is good, kinda

When the dots on the level turn green, that means you’re holding an object in a place where it’ll fit. That doesn’t always mean that it’s in the right place, though. Check where the object is actually going to land before you drop it. Although you can always pick it up again and rearrange.

Which way round?

A good clue to where an item should go is which way round it is when you pick it up. That should narrow down where it can actually fit. Pick an object up, check the shape it’s going to make when you put it down, and then consider the next tip.

How many have you got?

How many of a specific object you have is the other part of the equation. There might be several places a single item will fit, but when you’re bunching them together they’re going to take up a very specific amount of space. Look, have a quick assess, and you should know exactly where to put it.

Use the clues

On some levels, you’ll find there are already items in place. These clues are a great way to start filling up the fridge. If there’s an apple in a slot, then that’s where you should be putting the rest of the apples.
