A brand-new update for My Talking Tom 2 brings the mysteriously named ‘Spooky Quest’ to the game, and it all takes place underneath Talking Tom’s home. 

Beneath Tom’s garden, there’s a hidden underground world full of caves and treasure. Playing as Talking Tom, the aptly named ‘Spooky Basement’ is a dungeon-crawler game mode, bringing an action-packed addition to the virtual pet title.

Three Mysterious Locations

Within this underground world, you can venture through the Basement, the Crystal Cave, and the Lava Zone. Each location increases in difficulty, adding to the challenge, with 150 levels to discover. 

As you progress through the dungeon-crawler, you can unlock special rewards, such as themed outfits for Talking Tom. While down there, you can find collectables and upgrades to help you during your adventure.

The Basement is the first area, filled to the brim with secrets, easing you into the game mode. The second area, the Crystal Cave, is a beautiful underground location and is a little more challenging, with special rewards on offer. Finally, there’s the Lava Zone. This area is the most difficult but grants the best prizes.

Hazards Aplenty

After discovering an elevator that takes you down to the caves, the journey begins. Beware, though, as you’ll come across dangerous fish, rats, snakes, and even ghosts. 

It’s not just the scary creatures you need to look out for, as there are various hazards throughout, like slime pits, structures that are collapsing, crates that fall, and scorching hot lava. 

It requires quick reaction times, which you’ll easily master with practice. Time everything perfectly, and you’ll glide through the multitude of levels. Remember to be alert at all times, as the environment and the creatures around you will stop at nothing to hinder your progress.

It’s okay if you fail, though, as all progress is good! Venturing back to the Basement Hub allows you to unlock permanent upgrades which help you in future runs. It’s the beauty of dungeon-crawler games.

There are plenty of rewards to obtain via progression, with the increased difficulty offering a challenge for those who are well-versed in the dungeon-crawler genre. Your bravery is rewarded throughout!

Exclusive Spooky Quest Rewards

As for the rewards, you earn Spooky Currency, which you can spend on stylish outfits for Talking Tom and temporary buffs. These exclusive outfit sets can only be obtained by taking part in the Spooky Basement game mode.

By visiting the Basement Hub for a bit of respite, you can also purchase permanent character upgrades, such as increased HP, speed, and improved gear. 

Temporary buffs can also be found during runs to offer you some aid, helping you to progress further. While you’re down there, make sure to keep an eye out for treasures that take inspiration from Talking Tom and his beloved friends.
