As of right now, Frost Alloy has a single use in VV Ultimatum. It’s a required item in the crafting recipe for the Sanrei Glove in VV Ultimatum. One of the items in the recipe is Spirit Alloy, which I’ve written an entire guide on; it’s yet another item which needs to be crafted.

VV Ultimatum Frost Alloy

If you’re a Quincy, you’ll need Frost Alloy. This is because the Sanrei Glove requires Frost Alloy in its crafting recipe, which plays a major part in your Quincy Progression.

How to Get Frost Alloy

Frost Alloy is a craftable item which requires:

• 1x Spirit Alloy
• 1x Great Soul Essence
• 1x Frostvein Shards

Spirit Alloy

Spirit Alloy is another craftable item, with its recipe being available to obtain once you reach at least level 13. To obtain the recipe, you need to head to Mizuki Sato in search of an NPC called Hakuchi. They give you a quest which you must complete before getting the recipe as a reward.

It’s also purchasable from a Merchant in the Everwhite Enclave in the Arctic Plains for 275 Soul Tokens.

To craft Spirit Alloy, you need to collect:

• 1x Dark Essence
  • How to Get: 
    • Dropped by Hollows
    • Craftable with 5x Hollow Ports [Recipe for Dark Essence is unlocked at level 9]
    • Completing Quests
• 2x Soul Essence
  • How to Get:
    • Dropped by enemies and bosses
    • Chance to drop from Chests

You need 1x Spirit Alloy to craft Frost Alloy, but having extra is useful, as Spirit Alloy is required to unlock the Marsh.

Great Soul Essence

Like regular Soul Essence, Great Soul Essence grants you Soul Tokens either by being consumed or sold. To get Great Soul Essence, you can defeat Hollows in the Outskirts, though keep in mind that the item has a low drop chance.

You can also craft Great Soul Essence. The recipe is as follows:

• 5x Soul Essence
  • Dropped by enemies and bosses
  • Chests

Frostvein Shards

Frostvein Shards have a chance to drop from mobs around the Arctic Plains. Quite a lot of enemies spawn in this location, making it an ideal place to farm for materials.

Crafting the Sanrei Glove With Frost Alloy

As mentioned, the main reason for obtaining Frost Alloy is to craft the Sanrei Glove. This is a necessary item for Quincy Progression. Without it, you cannot progress further.

To craft the Sanrei Glove, you need:

• 1x Frost Alloy
  • See above for the crafting recipe
• 2x Strange Essence
  • Dropped by alternative variants of Hollows [they’re typically blue]
• 1x Broken Quincy Medallion
  • Dropped by Rogue Quincy Archers [1% drop chance]
  • Dropped by the Rogue Quincy Commander in the Arctic Plains [100% drop chance]

The Sanrei Glove allows Quincy players to meditate, leading to the obtainment of Evolved Spirit Weapons. Once Quincies acquire their Letzt Stil, they no longer need to have the Sanrei Glove to meditate.
