CheatCheat is a game in development for PC made and published by CheatDev. It brings an immensely interesting premise. An organised multiplayer cheating during exams while teachers hunt you down.
Honestly, this upcoming debut title from the indie developer might remind you of many other titles. There’s the social sabotage and co-op mechanics of Among Us and Lethal Company and the weird physics-comedy from games like Content Warning or Goat Simulator.
You and up to five other players are students trying to survive and pass a completely impossible year-end exam. It’s happening inside a school run by a demonic faculty. Studying is apparently for losers in this universe!
CheatCheat lets you stretch your necks out to peek at other students’ tests and knock classmates unconscious. You can also use weird nerd glasses to analyse exams and do emo magic so you can possess other students and see through their eyes. Phew!
You and the squad can distract students, interfere with teachers, and secretly communicate answers to each other. You coordinate cheating operations like some kind of criminal mastermind study group. There are secret signals and communication tools as well, so you can pass answers around without getting caught.
The school in CheatCheat is miserable in the best possible way
Teaching assistants patrol the exam rooms, and teacher’s pets can snitch on you. And there’s a terrifying boss called The Teacher enforcing a zero-tolerance cheating policy. Ironically, cheating only counts as cheating if somebody catches you doing it.
Outside the exams, there are extracurricular activities. You can compete in dodgeball tournaments, shove nerds into lockers, rescue nerds from lockers, and start food fights between classes. Doing all these random acts earns you street cred, cheating tools, and upgrades for school cliques.
