We’ve already talked about how to survive a night in one spooky hospital this week, though in the case of this Pocong Cursed Hospital, you don’t even work here. You’re here apparently because you wanted to be. Now you just need to survive the hopping ghost long enough to get out again. That’s what we’re here to help with in this Pocong Cursed Hospital walkthrough..

Pocong Cursed Hospital Walkthrough

We’ll start with the basics, and a bit of lore.

The Basics

You’re investigating the strange occurrences in an abandoned hospital. As it turns out, the wicked spirits that dwell inside its walls are very real, and dangerous. Fortunately, there’s a way to stop it, but you’ll need to call upon some of the less wicked ghosts inside the hospital by gathering old lost belongings and returning them to their rightful places. You can split the labour as a team, or try it solo.

Controls

The controls (at least the keybinds) are pretty straightforward.

  • WASD – Move
  • E – Interact
  • Shift – Sprint (Uses up Stamina)
  • F – Flashlight
  • 1-9 – Use Hotbar Item

Screenshot taken inside Pocong Cursed Hospital. It shows the POV of a player hiding inside a locker. The screen is tinted red. Through the gaps in the locker, you can see the Pocong, an undead creature wrapped in a burial shroud, peering around a corner and looking towards the player.

What Is A Pocong?

If you’re not from the countries with the folklore, you might be wondering what a Pocong is. Honestly, we weren’t sure either until we spent some time reading up on the story. A Pocong is a monster from Malaysian and Indonesian folklore, which appears as a dead person still wrapped up in their burial shroud. This is because its burial rites were never fully completed. Someone forgot to cut the ropes binding its limbs, cursing it to forever be a bit tied up. So, the spirit has to hop around, feet bound together.

How The Pocong Works In-Game

After you complete the tasks in Stage 1, the Pocong will spawn and start hopping around the hallways. If it sees a player in its line of sight, it will scream and fly towards them. If it catches them, their free trial of being alive has expired. There are a few important things to note.

  • You can tell the Pocong is close by the sound of its hopping, you should be able to hear it getting closer or moving away.
  • You can hide from the Pocong by ducking into locker. These are grey, rectangular cupboard-like objects and you can find them inside most rooms. Some rooms have two. The Pocong cannot get inside, even if aggroed.
  • From time to time, you will hear a noise and your screen will flash red. This is a sign that the Pocong has despawned from where it was, an spawned in another location, possibly nearby. You should be especially careful just after this happens.

Stage 1 – Left Behind

This is, by far, the easiest stage. The Pocong won’t bother you until the very end, so you should have unlimited time to explore. Sadly, most of the hospital rooms are blocked off, with only a few numbered rooms on the central loop available. We would suggest you try and get familiar with the layout while you’re relatively save though.

Objectives

You have four objectives in Stage 1.

  • Find The Patient’s Table.
  • Place Glasses.
  • Place Wallet.
  • Place Wristwatch.

These are all pretty straightforward. You need to take the three objects, and place them on the Patient’s Table to receive a bit of help from beyond. You will need to open the (alarmingly red-splattered) curtains around beds to check inside, you can use the normal interact command to do that.

  • You can find the Patient’s Table on the left side of Room 107. It’s glowing, so should be hard to miss.
  • The Wallet is on the other side of Room 107.
  • The Watch is in Room 106.
  • The Glasses are in Room 102.

Once you’ve united all of the parts together, you can interact with the table again to get a Camera. You’re going to need that any second, too, because this also spawns the Pocong, which will start charging towards you. Ready the camera, and wait until the indicator in the middle turns from red to green, then click the shutter. This will stop it in its tracks. Stage one done.

Stage 2 – Doctor’s Desk

Now things start getting dangerous. The Pocong is now actively on the warpath, and you still have objects to collect. So move between rooms carefully, use lockers to hide, and listen for the hopping noise. Some of the barriers from the first stage should be gone, so you’ll have more rooms to explore.

Objectives

Once again, four objectives.

  • Find the Doctor’s Desk
  • Place ID Card.
  • Place Clipboard.
  • Place Red Pen.

These aren’t complicated, but some take a bit more hunting. We took an embarrassing amount of time to find the red pen.

  • The Doctor’s Desk is in one of the new areas, the Doctor’s Office. Like the Patient’s Table, it glows. It’s at the far end of the room from the door. Careful you don’t get cornered.
  • You can find the ID Card in the newly opened operating theatre, on the tray next to the operating table.
  • You’ll find the Clipboard in the bathroom, on the floor. Ew.
  • The Red Pen is on the bed nearest the door in Room 108. (Though didn’t seem to spawn in for us the first time around.)

Place all of these and you should get another camera. Go repeat what you did with Stage 1 and snap a picture of the Pocong to stop it once again.

Stage 3 – Secrets

Even more parts of the hospital are open to you now, and perhaps a few buried secrets.

Objectives

These are a little different, in that you’ll be looking mostly for reports, rather than assorted objects.

  • Find Reception
  • Find Medical Report A
  • Find Medical Report B
  • Find Medical Report C

Once again, you need to go on the hunt.

  • Medical Report A is in the Shower Room.
  • You’ll find Medical Report B in Reception.
  • Medical Report C is inside one of the drawers in the Mortuary. (Accessed through the Operating Room.)

Once you’ve got all these, take a photo once again.

Stage 4 – Escape

The Pocong has hand enough of you, and there are no more camera from beyond, so it’s time to run for your lives.

This section forgoes the scavenger hunt loop. Now it’s a straight up chase to the exit with the ghost behind you. You’ll need to wave around the different obstacles that it throws up into your path. Objects will move in front of you, flung by unseen forces, and furniture will block your way. All you need to do is keep on running and focus your attention on dodging things. Eventually you will see a light ahead of you. That’s the exit. Once you reach that then you’ve completed all the stages of Pocong Cursed Hospital. Now, if you want to suffer, you can chase after the badges, too…

We hope all this has been helpful and thar you enjoyed out Pocong Cursed Hospital walkthrough. Each view means a lot, and motivates us to keep braving the jumpscares and finding solutions.
