If you’re overwhelmed by the Star Savior Journey mode, like I was when I first started, this guide is your saving grace. I’ve broken it down to highlight the most important things to know to help you understand this feature in Star Savior.

Star Savior Journey
The Journey gamemode is a necessary part of Star Savior, as it allows you to craft Stella Archives. If you’re not sure what Stella Archives are, they add powerful stats to your characters, as well as Potentials, which are essentially passive abilities.
When starting a Journey, you can select between the Easy and Normal difficulty modes. The difference here is that Easy mode provides a maximum of 500 per stat, whereas Normal mode provides a maximum of 750. You can only access the Normal difficulty once you reach Sector 8 on Easy.
Building a Team For Journey Mode
No matter which characters you place in your team, you should be focusing on their main stat. For example, the Strength stat for DPS units. They can then excel in what they do best.
Chipsets serve as additional team members, offering two slots to fill any gaps. If the team is lacking a Support or Tank, this is an ideal time to include them. It’s important always to add at least a Support, whether they provide healing and buffs or inflict the enemy with debuffs.
As for the Arcana cards, you should be equipping those that have the stats you want to boost. I recommended using SSR rarity cards rather than SR. This is because SSRs are inherently better in the long run, especially with their Potentials.
Best Arcana Cards For Journey
Whilst the cards you pick depend on your setup for Journey, there are two Arcana in particular that are perfect for any team.
- Life Stigma (SSR)
- A powerful Arcana for Supports/Healers and Tanks
- Elastic Acceleration (SSR)
- Great for DPS characters with the Attack and Crit Rate buffs
Training Types
The whole point of Journey mode is to benefit your character’s stats, so with that, it’s a good idea to get familiar with the five different training types. The type of training you do determines which stat boosts you get.

Training Camp
The Training Camp feature appears midway through Journey runs. There are currently two different Training Camps to choose from, including a Summer Camp and a Winter Camp.

- Winter Camp (Hot Springs)
- Buffs DEF and Health
Resources
There are two main resources to keep an eye on during a run: Stamina and Mood. If the Mood is low, then you miss out on the best rewards. Stamina represents your team’s Energy. If this is low, then there’s a higher chance to fail.
To manage both of these resources, you should visit the Meditation Room. This feature replenishes Energy and boosts the overall Mood of the team. Any visits to the Meditation Room cost between 30 and 60 Ancient Coins.
