Black Market Spawn Time
The Black Market shop is a rare event that only spawns during weekends. Once active, it lasts for approximately 10 minutes, providing you with a short window of time to purchase the items you want.
Now, the Black Market changes its stock each time it spawns, so there is no guarantee that it’ll stock the Sword of Darkness fishing rod every weekend. There is a wide variety of items that have a chance of being in stock as well.
Black Market Locations
When the Black Market spawns, it can be found in 8 different locations:
- Ancient Isle
- Moosewood Island
- Castaway Cliffs
- Roslit Bay
- Mushgrove Swamp
- Forsaken Shores
- Snowcap Island
- Terrapin Island
Is the Sword of Darkness Worth it?
Now that you know how to get the Sword of Darkness, is it worth all the coins? Its stats are pretty good, apart from its negative Control and Resilience. However, it has a unique passive ability which increases the Progress Speed during the fishing minigame and guarantees a catch with the Darkness mutation.

- Speed:

Darkness Mutation
When using the Sword of Darkness fishing rod, you are guaranteed to catch fish with the Darkness mutation for 30 seconds. This mutation increases the selling value of the fish by 9.4x! To activate this passive, you need to catch 3 fish in a row, successfully.
Other Passives
Upon catching 3 fish in a row, your Progress Speed also increases by 150%. Each time you fish with the Sword of Darkness, when the fish moves along the bar during the minigame, there’s a 25% chance to ‘stab’ the fish, increasing the progress by 3%. However, if 30 seconds elapse between two catches, or if you fail the fishing minigame, the passive is reset.
