Fisch Mutations

A fish can be ‘mutated’ when you reel it in with your fishing rod. There are various types of mutations, each of which increases the value of the fish when selling to a merchant. You can also increase your chances of getting a Mutated fish by using Enchants and specific Rods – more on that below!

Unique Mutations

• Albino
  • Increases the value by 1.15x (15%)
  • Selling an Albino fish to the Albino Vendor increases your income even more
• Purified
  • Increases the value by 2x
  • Speak with the Chiseler at Ancient Isle to chip away at the Amber mutation
• Amber
  • Decreases the value by 0.5x
  • You need to ask the Chiseler at Ancient Isle to remove the Amber, which then gives the fish the Purified mutation

Specific to Rods or Enchants

• Subspace
  • Increases the value by 5x
  • You can only get this Mutation when using a rod with the Quantum Enchant
• Scorched
  • Increases the value by 1.3x
  • The fish turns black and has smoke and fire around it
  • You have a higher chance of getting a fish with this mutation when using the Phoenix Rod
• Celestial
  • Increases the value by 2x
  • A golden fish with sparkles around it
  • Obtainable when using the Celestial Rod
• Greedy
  • Increases the value by 4x
  • Using the Rod of the Eternal King boosts Greedy fish chance by 20%

How to Increase Mutation Chances

While catching a Mutated fish is all down to RNG, there are 2 ways to increase your chances yourself. The first is by using specific fishing rods, and the second is by enchanting a rod with certain Enchants. The third way is relying on the Mutation Event!

Mutation Surge Event

When a Mutation Surge event occurs, your chances of reeling in a Mutated fish increase by 15%. There’s no way to guarantee an event happening, so you’ll just have to wait around!
