Seventh Disorder has announced a new hand-drawn 2D mystery adventure Mithra. It will launch on PC in Spring 2027. And there’s a new trailer showing some of the places, puzzles, and characters in the point-and-click adventure game.

Mithra follows Kyra, a teenage tech modder, bassist, and misfit from Brixton, London. Her life gets completely derailed when her mother goes missing. Then a mysterious email lands in Kyra’s inbox one night, she answers it, and that’s the moment she steps into the rabbit hole.

It turns out to be an ancient cult conspiracy connected to Mithraism. Kyra discovers that her own connection to the 2,000-year-old mystery goes much deeper than she ever imagined. Take a look at the trailers below!

Mithra gives Kyra her own rigged devices and modded tech

She can use them for hacking, decoding encrypted messages, interrogating eccentric suspects, gathering clues, and solving a bunch of peculiar puzzles. You’ll need observation, exploration, and lateral thinking to make progress.

There are layered, hand-crafted puzzles for each location, too. You might have to decode cryptic codes, uncover hidden messages in Kyra’s record collection, find secrets inside a secluded courtyard, or use a drone to survey points of interest across the capital.

Mithra is also properly globetrotting as Kyra’s investigation takes her through different cities. There are rainy London streets, lantern-lit hutongs in Beijing, and a sun-bleached Roman piazza. And they are all full of hidden details and secrets.

Mithra is inspired by real-world ancient cults and modern shadow networks, specifically digging into the mysteries surrounding Mithraism, the world’s first cult. A Kyra follows the conspiracy across continents, you’ll find themes of loneliness, corruption, evil, and the power of people all wrapped into the mystery.

Mithra is now available to wishlist on Steam.
