Solo developer L0rne has dropped the official announcement trailer for Teufelskreis. It’s an occult roulette roguelite deckbuilder. It basically takes roulette and turns it into a tactical battle. I feel like it brings gambling against an increasingly cursed roulette table.
So, you are bound by an employment contract with a mysterious corporation called OPCORP. And you are forced to gamble for survival. Yes, it’s a pretty awful workplace situation. HR probably isn’t taking complaints here.
Every spin involves both you and the house placing wagers. You can build a deck of tarot cards that lets you mess with your bets, manipulate payouts, and bend the rules of the roulette table in your favour.
Teufelskreis combines roulette-based push-your-luck mechanics with deckbuilding, roguelite progression, and route choices. All of these wrapped up in an unfolding occult corporate mystery. You’re not just playing the odds here. Something is playing against you.
Every spin, the machine places a wager of its own. That could be a colour, a number, an entire column, or something worse. It’s a possessed corporate AI that bets against you and corrupts the table. Your job is to meet each quota before your spins, or your life, runs out.
You can spend resources to overwrite its bet before the ball drops, or you can take the risk and hope it misses. If you guess wrong, it gets paid. Or you can step away from the roulette table and explore the archive surrounding it. There are riddles, sealed rooms, and correspondence from OPCORP employees.
Since it’s a roguelite, Teufelskreis also includes route choices
Between tables, you choose where to go across a shifting map. You can head toward safer encounters, take on dangerous elites for bigger rewards, and search for hidden treasures. Or you can stop to rest and sharpen your deck before the next clause of the Contract comes due.
