If you’re looking for a relaxing, cosy sandbox title, I Know a Spot. Yeah, that’s the name of this new casual driving sim by indie developer and publisher Bohdan Kvas. You can customise vehicles, drive through natural environments, and set up camps.

I Know a Spot is centred around creative building and peaceful exploration. A bit like Townscaper, it’s out now on Steam. It’s currently priced at $7.99, and there’s a 15% launch discount during the first week.

I Know a Spot, spend some quiet moments in nature

You travel through forests, lakes, mountains, and seasonal environments. Each one offers calm moods, soft lighting, and detailed natural scenery. You simply look for the perfect place to stop, unpack your gear, and build a cosy campsite. You also get to bring along your dog in the trip.

Once you arrive somewhere, you can freely place all kinds of camping gear wherever you want. Tents, lanterns, chairs, stoves, tables, decorations, and little props are all there to help you create warm, inviting campsites exactly how you like them.

The loyal dog companion walks around your campsite, reacts to the environment, and hangs out nearby. Meanwhile, your car is just as customisable as your campsite. You can personalise multiple cars with different models, colours, wheels, accessories, and other small visual upgrades.

The atmosphere looks like one of the game’s biggest strengths. It uses a warm, low-poly 3D art style mixed with soft painterly textures. So, everything feels comforting. The colour palette shifts with the seasons, so you get warm golden autumns, bright snowy winters, and other gentle seasonal looks.

If you’re looking for a cosy game or in case you aren’t able to go camping in real life, for some reason, then you can check out I Know a Spot.

And if you’re looking for something more narrative-driven instead, then I have another recommendation for you. Read our scoop on Cosy Exploration Adventure Capy Castaway, Inspired by a Real Story.
