Publisher Spaghetti Cat has revealed a new PC title called Midnight Souls. It’s a 2D mystical, or rather horror, adventure RPG developed by Bolshakov Sergey. The tile brings a lot of black humour and a bit of nostalgia.
It all begins with a date
A teenager heads out to the small, slightly offbeat town of Camomile Peaks to meet a girl he connected with online. But the date spirals into something much darker…
Camomile Peaks is a place packed with secrets, strange encounters, and an uneasy vibe. As you move through it, you’re not just chasing romance. You’re dealing with murder mysteries, odd characters, and situations that can flip from awkward to dangerous.
The protagonist isn’t exactly a fearless hero either. A lot of the journey is about pushing through insecurity, figuring things out socially, and somehow still trying to win over his first love. Take a look at Midnight Souls below.
Along the way, you meet new people, make socially acceptable friends, and pick up a range of weird items, some of which might be useful. There’s also a lot of dialogue in Midnight Souls, driving things forward.
And then there’s Charlie, the cat. Keeping Charlie out of trouble is just as important as everything else going on, trust me!
Overall, Midnight Souls is an indie adventure you might want to try
The story is structured as a full three-act arc with setup, confrontation, and resolution. There’s a mix of puzzle solving, QTEs, and various minigames. The game is planned for PC via Steam, although the release date is still to be announced.
