A new co-op game called Split Happens is coming to PC via Steam. It’s chaotic and hilarious, which is what most of us look for in a game, right? In this one, you need to keep a failing nuclear power plant from turning into a disaster while playing with your friends.
The Split Happens Steam page is now available to wishlist the title. The full game is slated for release in Q4 2026. The game comes from Sonova Studio, a two-man indie studio based in the USA and Sweden. Split Happens is the studio’s debut title.

It’s a 1–6 player co-op title where players work together to keep a nuclear reactor running. You deal with problems like leaking pipes, steam leaks, and raging fires before everything goes critical. The goal is to manage the chaos, control the fission reaction, and avoid a meltdown.
If things go well enough, you may even get to produce enough electricity to keep the bosses happy. Everyone has to run around fixing problems using the control panel. You’ll constantly be putting out problems all over the plant.
But don’t worry, it isn’t that serious all the time. You can also play music on the boombox and have a dance-off. Or you can just hang out in the breakroom when things are not falling apart. Set in an old, rundown nuclear power plant, you try not to get in the way of coworkers since everything is going wrong at the same time.
You fix hazards using whatever tools you can find, as there’s never enough time to do things properly. Most of the time, duct tape, mops, and some questionable engineering decisions are what keep the reactor from exploding… Well, at least temporarily. Just remember that the higher the power output goes, the more unstable the reactor becomes!
