How to Wish For a Rod in Fisch

If you’ve seen rumours and images floating around, you may have found out that you can wish for a rod in Fisch. However, this is an upcoming feature that is not yet available. It’s a part of the Fischmas 2025 event, which is due to release this weekend on December 13th.

So far, we know that there is a letter to Santa that you can send, wishing for a fishing rod of your choice. There’s a blank space where you can type in the name of a rod before signing it. The letter reads:

“Dear Santa, 

For Fischmas I want:

[Name of fishing rod]

Sincerely, [Your username]

Merry Fischmas!“

How to Get the Letter to Santa

As of right now, there’s no other information regarding this letter. All we have is a screenshot of the letter itself. The main theory is that it’s the final reward for the Fischmas 2025 event, and that you’ll get the fishing rod you wished for on Christmas Day.

Or perhaps, you can speak to a Santa NPC to access the letter, but at this point, who knows?

If more information becomes available before the release of Fischmas 2025, we’ll update this guide. Once the event is out, we’ll be able to add all the information you need, so make sure to check back.

Can You Ask For Any Rod?

Sadly not. For instance, you cannot ask for one of the Developer Rods, Creator Rods, or Exclusive Rods. However, you can ask for a fishing rod that is locked behind a level requirement. But you can’t use it until you reach that level. It’ll sit in your inventory until you meet the requirement.
