By being afflicted with Absolvement Sins, you can earn more Soul Fragments. But are these modifiers worth the debuffs? New to Absolvement? Check out our Absolvement Race Tier List to find out more regarding each passive and skill.

Absolvement Sins

When afflicted with a Sin, you gain a permanent debuff, which may be further worsened by the other effects of the Sin. Each Sin comes with a Burden, which is an additional negative. However, the main reason for obtaining a Sin is the fact that you earn more Soul Fragments when you wipe. Each Sin adds a 4% multiplier to the amount of Soul Fragments you get, capping at 8 Sins.

Abomination

With the Abomination Sin, you are afflicted by every single Sin in Absolvement. Good luck! You also constantly have all of the Burden debuffs. However, when you wipe, you receive 40% more Soul Fragments. Is it worth it? It depends on whether you want a challenging playthrough.

Burden

Because this Sin takes on the Burdens of all other Sins, Abomination does not have its own specified one.

Chance

You have a 40% higher chance of getting Common or Uncommon drops, making it more difficult to get rarer items, such as Mythical, Unique, and Rare.

Burden

Common drops are 2x more likely to appear.

Deceit

Some Potentials may be decoys, meaning you can’t trust any of them 100% of the time. Enemies may also be imaginary, both when detecting them and when they appear before you. Shopkeepers may also increase the price of items to mess with you.

Burden

Deceit chances are increased by 2x.

Deserter

When your HP is below Maximum, your walking speed decreases, which slows down even more the closer you get to 0 HP, capping at -25%.

Burden

The Maximum walking speed reduction begins at 50% HP.

Gluttony

Every 5 minutes, you have to consume an item. With no items in your inventory, you end up chewing your hand instead, which deals 20 DMG.

Burden

You must eat twice as often.

Greed

You have to pick the highest rarity with Potential selections. When you refuse a selection, you get a permanent debuff which stacks, decreasing your DMG and Armor by 2% per stack.

Burden

You have one less option with Potentials.

Judgement

The most important details of a Potential are hidden from you. You have to guess the rest of the information.

Burden

All information that is relevant is hidden.

Pride

If your HP is replenished by 60% more than your Maximum HP, you get the Fragility debuff, which weakens future healing effects.

Burden

Any method of replenishing HP inflicts you with Fragility.

Psuedoprophecy

Your devotees rejected you and called you a false prophet. You are locked to a singular life.

Burden

The effect of the Pseudoprophecy Sin is so dire that there is no additional Burden.

Slaughterer

When you kill an enemy, the debuffs below are temporarily removed, further increasing Regen by 5%, a DMG boost, and a 2% faster Walking Speed. Outside of that, these debuffs affect you.

  • Regen decreases by 25%
  • The DMG you deal decreases by 10%
  • Walking Speed decreases by 10%

Burden

Drawbacks are 50% more effective, and the duration of the buff is reduced by 50% when you defeat an enemy.

Sloth

You attack enemies 20% slower, and your Walking Speed is 10% slower.

Burden

Your Cooldowns are 10% longer.

Theft

Prices in every shop increase by 2x. Any events that involve Gold grant a 10% chance of your own Gold being stolen.

Burden

You earn 10% less Gold.

Wrath

You take 25% more DMG.

Burden

You take another 20% more DMG.
