So, is the fork or the bottle the best? With only two options for a weapon, it’s a 50/50. However, do the weapons behave any differently when wielded?

The short answer is… no. Unlike the Last Dinner game, the weapons in Lights Out do not affect your combat. Whether you pick the bottle or the fork, it doesn’t matter. Both of them deal the same amount of damage and do not come with any additional abilities.

The only way you can stand out in Lights Out is by unleashing a Power you’ve rolled, such as Blackflash, which can quickly deplete the HP of your opponent.

Admittedly, I didn’t realise there were two weapons for a while. For some reason, I always gravitate to the left table to pick up a bottle of soda and some delicious onigiri.

It was when I got bored while waiting and wandered around that I noticed the table on the right had something different on it! At that point, I couldn’t interact with it anymore after already picking up food and a beverage from the left table.

How to Get a Weapon in Lights Out

Before Lights Out begins, you can choose which table to go to for a refreshment. On the left is a table with bottles of drink and a portion of onigiri. On the right is a table with some food that you need to eat with a fork.

You can use the bottle from the left table as a weapon, and the fork from the table on the right is another option. Depending on which table you queue up at, you’ll get one of them. You cannot have both, so once a soldier gives you food, you are not able to queue up at the other table.
