Just started playing the latest Torchlight and not sure how to set up your character for the endgame? Well, our Torchlight Infinite builds guide is here to help. In this guide, we’re going to round up the best builds for each class so you can get the very best of starts. We’ll include recommended equipment, skills, talents, and everything else you need to make the most of your character’s new play-style.

For those that don’t know, Torchlight Infinite is the latest entry in the Diablo-like action RPG series. It’s available on mobile and PC, and features a new selection of character classes to play with. For the first time in the series’ history, it’s a free-to-play game too, with an emphasis on online play. Think the Diablo Immortal of Torchlight.

Torchlight Infinite Builds

Now, let’s take a look at the best Torchlight Infinite builds per class.

Commander Build

First up, we’re going to look at our favourite dwarven commander, Moto. Here’s a great minion-focused build that you can check out below:

Equipment

Your build really starts with equipment, which provides you with statistical bonuses that help define your play-style.

  • Helmet: Fallen Knight Helmet
  • Armor: Unbreakable Armor
  • Necklace: Truth
  • Gloves: Elder Sage’s Long Gloves
  • Belt: Night Conqueror’s Light Belt
  • Boots: Imperishable Feet
  • Ring 1: Embrace of Eternal Sleep
  • Ring 2: Frostfire Ring
  • Weapon 1: Twisted Branch
  • Weapon 2: Twisted Branch

Traits

Traits tweak certain ability effects, fine-tuning your build to behave a certain way.

  • Order Calling: 
    • +100% Overload Effect
    • Minions last ten seconds longer when receiving Overload
    • Your Minions will prioritize the last enemy you hit
  • All In:
    • +180% Overload Effect
    • Minions’ Overload Effect – 9% per 0.2 second, up to 180%
    • Overload grants +50% Critical Strike Rating
  • Veteran:
    • For every Overload received, +6% enlarged physique, up to +30%
    • For every Overload received, +5% Minion Damage up to 25%
    • For every Overload received, +4% Minion Maximum Life, up to 20%
  • Brothers in Arms:
    • Each enemy killed by your minions grants one of your minions Overload
    • Prioritise minions with no active Overload effects
    • For each enemy you and your minion defeats, gain +10% Overload up to +50%
  • Go for Broke:
    • Minions lose 30% current life when receiving Overload
    • Overload grants +200 base critical strike rating

Pact Points

Rather than list every single pact point to spend, we’re going to list the desired pact effects you should aim for:

  • -9% damage taken
  • +120% minion maximum life
  • +261% minion damage
  • +18% minion damage if summoning skills have been used recently
  • +40% minion attack and cast speed

Active Skills

Skills are the bread and butter of your build, and the active component of your play-style.

Warlock

Aim for these stats with your talent choices:

  • Intelligence: +132
  • Dexterity: +44
  • Strength: +44

And select these skill effects:

  • Merciless:
    • 20% of bonuses or reductions to attack speed also apply to cooldown recovery speed
    • 20% of the effects on cast speed is applied to cooldown recovery speed
  • Off The Beaten Track:
    • +3 support skill level
    • Support skill’s mana multiplier is set to 105%
Machinist

Aim for these stats with your talent choices:

  • Intelligence: +68
  • Dexterity: +34
  • Strength: +68

And select these skill effects:

  • Boss:
    • +1 maximum synthetic troop quantity
    • +50% synthetic troop duration
  • Kinetic Conversion:
    • -20% extra damage taken while moving
    • Regenerate 1% life per second while moving
God of Machines

Aim for these stats with your talent choices:

  • Intelligence: +60
  • Dexterity: +30
  • Strength: +60

And select these skill effects:

  • Shrink Back:
    • +50% chance to gain Barrier when taking damage
  • Mighty Guard:
    • +2 minion skill level
    • -25% minion aggressiveness
