Looking for the Nerdle today answer? Well, we’re here to help! In this guide, we provide you with the answer for today’s puzzle. We also keep this article updated every single day with the solution to every puzzle, so we recommend that you bookmark this page and check back daily. That way, you’ll never struggle with a puzzle again.
Nerdle is a daily puzzle game that draws inspiration from Wordle. While Wordle has you guessing words, Nerdle has you solving tricky maths equations. That’s perfect for maths fans amongst you, but might prove trickier to us average joes, as there’s less guesswork involved in maths than there are word games. Fortunately, we’re here to help.
You can play Nerdle right here. Before you go, we’ve got a few more pages for you to bookmark. Make sure to check out our Wordle today, Quordle today, and Heardle today guides for more daily fun.
What is Nerdle?
Nerdle is a Wordle-like daily puzzle game that swaps words for numbers. That’s right: every day, you have to solve a challenging maths equation.
Much like Wordle you do get a bunch of attempts though, and have to detail your calculation. You will then get feedback, with correct parts of the calculation listed in green, and numbers in the calculation but in the wrong location are marked in red.
This should help you get to the correct calculation if you’re paying close enough attention. If not, just keep reading for tips and tricks, as well as the solution itself.
How Does It Work?
If you’ve played Wordle before, Nerdle should feel fairly familiar. Ultimately, you’re still guessing something in pretty much the same manner, except it’s numbers rather than words.
You have to basically create an equation, and Nerdle will give you some feedback. There are some ground rules though:
- Each guess has to be a complete calculation
- You can only use numbers, +, -, *, /, or =
- Your equation must use one ‘=’
- The equal must appear before a final number
- Standard order of calculations applies
Numbers in the solution and in the correct place are marked in green. Those not in the correct place are marked in red, while black numbers are not in the solution at all. Use this to isolate the proper equation.
Tips and Tricks
Before we give you today’s solution, here’s a few tips and tricks that might help you to solve it:
- Go crazy: You’ve got nothing to lose by using as many numbers as possible in your first guess. Keep green numbers in the same spot for your second guess, and use red numbers in different places. Also, use numbers you haven’t guessed yet in subsequent gueses, ignoring black numbers.
- Work backwards: You want to try and get the correct answer first, and you’ve only got five guesses to do so before it gets tricky. Once you know the answer, working out the equation backwards – understanding the rules above – will make life a lot easier.
- The rules are your safety net: There are rules to maths equations, so look them up before starting. That will enormously help you with number placements.
